UPDATE 12:53 PM: McClure Bridge is expected to close on both Friday and Thursday, according to CPD spokesman Scott Beaubien.
Beaubien told Clarksville Now the closures were due to the delivery of several steel beams to the site. Four beams are delivered on Thursday, three more beams arrive on Friday.
The rays come from the Dover area via Dover Road and Providence Boulevard. You will then proceed down Riverside Drive before turning left onto Highway 48/13. CPD traffic units will escort the trucks. Each intersection along the route is expected to be closed for 15-20 minutes.
CPD is expected to provide an updated timeline for closures on Thursday.
