Tompkins welcomes new Vice President of Commercial Lending


Tompkins Community Bank has hired Lawrence Harris as Vice President, Commercial Banking Relationship Manager.

Harris brings 35 years of experience to his new role and will be responsible for all facets of banking relationship management, including real estate and construction financing, providing working capital, equipment financing and structuring financial transactions in support of mergers and acquisitions. In addition, Harris will provide guidance on custody and cash management services, as well as client relationships with related investment and insurance partners.

Harris received a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science from Binghamton University and was an Honors graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Georgetown University. Harris spends his time volunteering with community organizations focused on helping and mentoring youth in the communities of Binghamton and Syracuse. He serves as an independent director of Broome Tobacco Asset Securitization Corporation and is a member of the NYBDC Regional Loan and Advisory Committee.
