Flowdynamics rider Matt McCarthy of Riverside, Calif., And Yorba Linda, Californian Logan Williams, will both have new engines in their cars when the Oval Nationals kicks off at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Williams hit his new power plant in Perris on October 23 with an eighth placeapprox. McCarthy, who finished three places behind his teammate after overtaking nine cars in the main event, will debut his brand new engine on the country’s first dirt track on the first of three consecutive nights of hardcore sprint car action.

This week’s races the Flowdynamics riders and crews will be very busy. On all three nights they will not only fight against the usual stars from California, but also against the best that Indiana has to offer. Each night there will be full shows with qualifying, heat races and B&A main events. The main events on Thursday and Friday are 30 rounds that pay the winners $ 5,000.00. The Saturday final, which pays the winner $ 10,000.00, will be 40 rounds long. Needless to say, McCarthy and Williams will be fully focused on the most intense races of 2021.

This weekend, McCarthy is tenth in the USAC / CRA championship standings. Williams is 11NS and is only 34 points behind his teammate. Both drivers are behind the eight and ninth placed drivers. With five races outstanding in just 10 days, there’s a good chance one of them will climb to eighth place if the last points are counted one week from Saturday.

Both drivers will be able to meet the fans in the pit area every evening after the races. Both have their racing shirts available and are great Christmas gifts for racing fans.
