The year 2022 has been a very exciting year for technology enthusiasts. A lot of consumer electronics were released this year. We introduce many new technologies, new designs and new software features. As it stands now, the demand for consumer electronics such as smartphones continues to grow. That’s why every manufacturer is doing everything they can to stay ahead of the game.
For several years, the battle for the top position has always been between them Samsung and apple. This is where the upper battle line is drawn. Yes, Huawei almost got between them, but due to the sanctions, they had to leave the battlefield for the time being.
Now let’s get straight to the main point. This should be very interesting, so just read through it. First, let’s start with the reasons why we use cell phones. Unlike a few years ago, mobile phones today go far beyond just making calls and sending text messages.
There are so many things you can do with mobile phones now. I won’t bother listing everything you can do with your smartphones. You probably already know most of them.
Why buy a smartphone?
The question of why people buy smartphones has always been the most important factor that people consider before making the decision to buy a smartphone. On the other hand, smartphone manufacturers are well aware of this issue. So they build phones to serve each purpose as well as possible.
Simply put, all smartphones have reached the pinnacle of almost every feature a smartphone should have. So the question is not which smartphone does what. The real question is which smartphone does it better. This has led to many comparisons between smartphones everywhere. Such a question is the main reason for this article.
There is no doubt that the Samsung S22 ultra and iPhone 14 Pro Max are the top superpowers of 2022. In terms of popularity, build design, build quality, camera performance, overall device performance, just name it. These two devices are packed to give you the best user experience.
But who of the two does it better? Which one makes your life easier? Which of them give you more choices? That’s what user experience is all about. And this is where Samsung outperforms Apple. I’ll go ahead and give you five good reasons why the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has the upper hand over the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Why the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is still better than the iPhone 14 Pro Max
1. Charging Speed (Samsung VS iPhone):
The technology has grown really fast and is still growing fast. This is how your loading speed should be. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra outperforms the iPhone 14 Pro Max in this area thanks to its 45W charging capability versus the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s 27W.
In a charging test conducted by an Indian Youtuber, the IPhone 14 Pro Max was 31 minutes behind the Samsung S22 Ultra. The Samsung charged from 0 to 100 in 1 hour 17 minutes. The iPhone 14 Pro Max, on the other hand, managed to hit 100% within 1 hour 51 minutes. That’s almost 2 hours of charging time.
2. Fingerprint Scanner (Samsung VS iPhone):
Ever since Apple introduced full screen mode, fingerprint scanners or shall we say Touch ID have really become a problem for the iPhone. In 2021, there was a hint that the iPhone 13 series would come with an under-display fingerprint scanner like the other Android phones. However, Apple had to discontinue this feature due to technical issues. We all thought the iPhone 14 series would definitely have the fingerprint scanner this time around. But here we are, iPhones still lack this important feature. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S22 Ultra has an even better and faster under-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
3. Multitasking (Samsung vs. iPhone):
When it comes to multitasking capability, Samsung is miles ahead. In fact, iPhones don’t multitask at all and I find it incredible. On the Samsung S22 Ultra you can hide a floating widget on the side of the screen. Just swipe sideways to show it and run any app. The app will open in a smaller window above the already open app.
To make life even easier, the S22 Ultra has a feature called Split Screen. This allows you to run two separate apps on the screen at the same time. One app on the top half of the screen and the other on the bottom half of the screen will run at the same time. This is what multitasking should look like. Unfortunately, if you are an Apple user, you cannot enjoy this feature. You might have to wait a little longer (that is, if Apple ever brings it to iOS).
4. UI Customization (Samsung VS iPhone):
Recently Apple released the iOS 16 which came with some cool customization features. After you customize your iPhone, your wallpaper will look really cool until you unlock your phone. (Welcome to the same old looks).
With the Samsung, customization is on a whole different level. Samsung has an app called “Samsung Good Lock”. It is an app developed by Samsung Inc. that you can download from the Galaxy Store if it is not preinstalled on your device. This app will not only help you customize your wallpaper but also customize every other corner of your phone to fit your style.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra gives you the power to be the boss of your own phone. If you get bored with the interface, you can always change it to something that suits your mood.
5. Reverse Wireless Charging (Samsung VS iPhone):
Samsung phones have had this feature since 2019 starting with the Galaxy S10 series. Although Huawei’s feature was first introduced in the Mate 20 series, Samsung has picked it up and used it in the S10. Not only Samsung, but also many other manufacturers started with it. I wonder what Apple is waiting for. This is a very useful feature, especially if your wearables run out of power while you happen to be around town. All you have to do is place your wireless charging device behind your phone to charge it.
At that point, it only made sense for Apple to offer wireless charging in the iPhone 14 models, or at least the Pro models. But no, none of the new iPhone models came with reverse wireless charging.
There’s even more to the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra than the iPhone 14 Pro Max
This list can go even further than just five. But these are the top features that the Samsung S22 Ultra can boast of when it comes to comparing it to the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Mind you, features like Samsung Desk weren’t even listed. This feature allows you to connect your Samsung phone to an external monitor and work on your phone like a computer. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra also has an S Pen, which makes working with document files on your smartphone much easier.
Don’t get me wrong, the iPhone 14 Pro Max is an excellent device with top-notch flagship features. But when you compare it side-by-side with the Samsung S22 Ultra in terms of productivity, customization and ease of use, the Samsung beats the iPhone by a pretty big margin.
