The software suite reduces downtime and material costs, improves quality and provides a deep insight into machine and human productivity

DALLAS, March 03, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–MicroAI™, the pioneer in edge-native artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) software, today announced the General Availability (GA) of MicroAI Factory. This is a fully integrated manufacturing software suite that leverages edge-native AI to ingest manufacturing data from existing systems and sensors to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), real-time cycle time analysis, and predictive maintenance.

MicroAI Factory is deployed locally in an industrial computing device at a manufacturing or industrial site and ingests data from programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and sensors connected to machines or people within the manufacturing site. It then uses an edge-native AI engine to automatically develop cycle-time analysis and behavioral models that provide deep insights into machine operations and human behavior. This modeling provides real-time analysis of performance, productivity, and uptime, detects operational anomalies, and enables alerting, ticketing, and maintenance scheduling from preset thresholds.

“MicroAI Factory improves overall equipment effectiveness for manufacturers by providing holistic, real-time cycle-time analysis of operations and advanced, early anomaly detection to predict potential failures and performance issues,” said Yasser Khan, CEO of MicroAI. “Ultimately, MicroAI Factory will transform devices from human-managed to self-managed assets.”

Philippe Cases, CEO of Topio Networks, a leading industry catalyst pursuing Industry 4.0 and the hyper-connected world, said: “Besides innovating with AI on the shop floor, MicroAI does not create additional work to maintain the application on-site and thereby Significantly reducing operational costs for predictive maintenance applications. MicroAI is the first company for hassle-free manufacturing software.”

MicroAI Factory is deployed at the edge within a small form factor computing application and connected to PLCs and sensor systems within the factory or industrial facility. All processing, analysis and storage of the data takes place on the facility’s premises, eliminating the data security and connection reliability challenges associated with cloud computing.

Operations management is provided as a central command and control point, while dashboards can be accessed within the facility via a local area network (LAN) or externally via the Internet. Servers can be networked across multiple facilities to share insights without exposing data. MicroAI Factory can be deployed as a point solution within a single facility or across multiple locations that operate independently but aggregate insights while maintaining data integrity at each individual location.

About MicroAI

Based in Dallas, Tx., MicroAI™ is the pioneer in edge-native artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). The company’s mission is to automate the management of machines, enable them to self-monitor and self-report, and provide the most accurate information about machine health. The company’s software is deployed in edge appliances that aggregate data from multiple machines, as well as embedded in microcontrollers (MCUs) and microprocessors (MPUs) in a single machine itself. MicroAI’s software is used by manufacturing and industrial processing companies, original equipment manufacturers and asset owners used to predict failures, identify safety issues, and improve lifecycle management and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
